Administrative History

The I-25 Greenway Advisory Committee was formed by Colorado Springs City Council in 1989 as a citizen body to monitor the planning issues, especially the environmental assessment process, surrounding the expansion of I-25. The mission of the committee was "to achieve excellence in design quality and maximize aesthetic opportunities for the roadway and greenway spine that comprises the Monument Creek/Fountain Creek corridor from Academy Boulevard north to Academy Boulevard south”.
