All the Catron land grant files are available online or on microfilm. They contain materials of potential value to researchers from an enormously broad range of disciplines and interests, in addition to land grantees and legal scholars. While principally addressing matters related to New Mexico, broader themes and patterns relevant to other times and placed can also be discerned in this rich and extensive collection.

Documents from selected Catron Land Grant Files are available online. The selected files pertain to the adjudication of certain New Mexico land grant cases in the Court of Private Land Claims (New Mexico Land Title Records, Series 301 - 310.)
Land Grant filles relating to Pueblo land grants are available in digital form at the Center for Southwest Research's Manuscripts Digital Collections. At that site you can select "Browse Catron Land Grant Cases" to view them all or use the search boxes to find a specific land grant.
Some oversize maps listed in this guide to the Thomas B. Catron Papers are available in digital form at New Mexico Waters. At that site use the search boxes to look for maps for a specific land grant.
Community land grant files are also available online because of their potential relevance to the on-going controversy concerning the United States' obligations under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, and because of interest stemming from other current research involving these grants. Case files from the following land grants, all defined as "community" grants by the U.S. General Accounting Office, are available in digital form.
