Bauman Papers consist of the World War II files of Lt. Frank A. Bauman USNR (1921- ). Bauman attended the US Navy Japanese Language School at the University of Colorado in Boulder from 1943 to 1944. Lt. Bauman served in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Peleliu, Guam, Okinawa and Japan as a Joint Intelligence Center, Pacific Ocean Area (JICPOA) officer from 1944 and 1945. Lt. Archives Dept. Russell Edward Brimhall of Hatch, New Mexico, entered the US Naval Training School (Radio), Company 17, on July 22, 1943. The US Navy Radio School was located at the University of Colorado in Boulder from 1942 to 1944 and trained 29 companies. The collection consists of Brimhall’s autobiography, entitled This is My Story: A Rocky Road.
