Peggy Pond Church, poet and writer, was born December 1, 1903 in Watrous, New Mexico.
She grew up in a rural community and attended the only grade school on the Pajarito
Plateau, The Los Alamos Ranch School, founded by her father Ashley Pond.
Correspondence, manuscripts, drafts and editorial correspondence are often intermixed
with personal letters and researched topics emphasizing the high degree of Church's
creative writing style. The bulk of miscellaneous material often is punctuated with
personal and somewhat illegible notes which appear to surface as rough drafts and
eventually complete published poetry.
Additional materials were added to the collection in July 2003. This consists almost
entirely of annotated publications.
Another addition was processed in August 2016. Included in the addition are
biographical, autobiographical and family materials, documentaiton of literary
activities, correspondence (mostly to Peggy Pond Church), and reference files.
Photographs from the collection are housed in CSWR Photoarchives.
Collection is open for research.
Limited duplication of CSWR material is allowed for research purposes. User is responsible for compliance with all copyright, privacy, and libel laws. Permission is required for publications or distribution.

Collection was reprocessed and an addition was added in July 2003. Folder titles and
basic organization remain the same, however, most box and folder numbers have
changed.
