Biography of James David AlmandJames David Almand (1940- ), a wildlife conservationist, was appointed state extension wildlife specialist at the University of Georgia in 1965 and joined the U.S. Department of Agriculture Extension service in 1969. In 1970 he became Chief of the National Marine Fisheries Service of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Scope and ContentCollection contains articles and reports written by Almand on wildlife, fisheries, and education and training for wildlife conservationists (1966-1970); correspondence (1965-1974); news clippings (1973); and speeches on wildlife programs (1970).
