Includes proclamations; appointments; executive orders; executive budgets; address to legislature and files relating to legislative issues such as education; judicial reports and reports of elected officials; reports of administrative agencies, boards and commissions; reports of state institutions and records of the Four Corners Regional Commission and other regional commissions. Federal records include correspondence with and news clips concerning United States senators and congressmen representing New Mexico, and other national office holders; reports of federal agencies related to New Mexico; and reports on the federally funded Community Action Programs (CAP). Special issues include material on constitutional revision, the Vietnam War, and the Alianza Federal de las Mercedes. Penal papers include pardon and extradition cases. Political materials include documents on election campaigns, Republican National Party, National Governors' Conference, and similiar bodies. Miscellaneous materials contain files on contingency fund, speeches, private practice, family matters and personal documents.
