Description Container

The Abeyta family of Abeytas, New Mexico, has preserved tradition in this handwritten record. They have maintained their own manual of child rearing practices, expressions, devotions, verses, arithmetic and records of births and deaths of family members. While the copy held by the Fray Angélico Chávez History Library was made from the 1908 Abeyta copy, the original text dates from an earlier period based on the births recorded in the manuscript.
